Enerhomashspetsstal' : Specialists of Energomashspetsstal received international certificates of experts for mechanical tests for crack resistance

At the end of March, specialists from PJSC 'EMSS' received training and certificates from the International School of Technical Legislation and Quality Management. Four employees of the Central Plant Laboratory of PJSC 'EMSS' became the first and the only certified specialists in Ukraine who can perform mechanical tests for crack resistance in accordance with ASTM E 399-12е3, ASTM E 1820-15a, ASTM E 647-15е1 standards, and also tests by definition of reference temperature T according to ASTM E 1921-16 and in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025: 2005. The course was organized by the International School of Technical Legislation and Quality Management in association with the Institute of Physics of Metals named after. G.V. Kurdiumov National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

[Attachment] The training program was intensive and informative. The course was read by specialists with the solid grounding and high qualification, chaired by Dr. Sci. in Physics and Mathematics, Professor, Head of the Department of Strength and Destruction Physics Kotrechko S.А. Within two weeks, the students received theoretical and practical education with testing specimens from steel grade 15H2NMFA. After the successful written examinations, all trainees received Certificates from the International School of Technical and Quality Management and Certificates with the conferred qualification: 'Specialist of the Laboratory for Mechanical Tests for Crack Resistance in Accordance with ISO/IEC 17025: 2005″.

The receipt of these certificates was another competitive advantage of PJSC 'EMSS' for the participation of the enterprise in the project of the 'Khankhikivi-1″ NPP. Participation of certified specialists in mechanical tests conducting of nuclear products guarantees high quality of the products and causes trust on the part of the customer.

'Our employees became the first in Ukraine certified specialists who have the right to perform tests according to these ASTM standards,' says the head of the central plant laboratory of PJSC 'EMSS' Andrei Kolomoets. - In future, we plan to organize internal training of the staff of the laboratory of mechanical tests to conduct tests for crack resistance and determine the reference temperature T at the enterprise. Teachers and members of the certifying commission will be experts who already have certificates.'
