MILAN (Reuters) - Enel's newly appointed chairman Paolo Scaroni is not worried about Italy's energy supply next winter.

"No, I'm not worried, gas prices have dropped but you can read about that in the press as well," he said when asked on the sidelines of Consob's annual meeting with the financial community.

Scaroni, who was appointed last May by Enel's shareholders' meeting, prefers instead to wait a few months before making any statements about the company.

"About Enel I do not speak, I will in a few months," he said.
