In the latest analysis by this global leader in ESG research, ratings and data, Ence has once again obtained the highest overall ESG score in its sector in the world, 93 points out of 100
Ence has once again demonstrated its global leadership position in its sector in environmental, social and corporate governance issues, according to the global ESG research, ratings and data provider Morningstar Sustainalytics, which has recently reported the company's score in handling these aspects at 93 points over 100.
This result is 3 points higher than last year, which places Ence ahead of all the companies in its sector evaluated by Sustainalytics, 11 points above the second-best rated company.
Sustainalytics is one of the leading analysts in ESG matters. Its rating evaluates the performance of more than 15,500 companies around the world. The analyzed ESG criteria take into account both the environmental, social and corporate governance aspects of companies.
The latest Sustainalytics analysis points to Ence as a leader in sustainability by virtue of its leadership in environmental and social issues, as well as its outstanding performance in governance.
In this way, the report from the ESG rating agency Morningstar Sustainalytics highlights Ence's strong policies in key ESG areas, such as environmental protection, health and safety, and human rights across the supply chain. Among other issues, the document highlights the strength and solidity of Ence's sustainability strategy.
Furthermore, and for the second consecutive year, the reduction achieved in water consumption per ton of cellulose produced in the company's two biofactories (Navia and Pontevedra). All of this, adds Morningstar Sustainalytics, demonstrates the company's effectiveness in terms of water management and, in general, its strength in managing the use of resources.
On the other hand, the document indicates that Ence has a very robust environmental policy. Regarding the company's decarbonization strategy, Morningstar Sustainalitics also highlights the strength of Ence's management.
