Enav closes the first quarter with a consolidated net loss of €13.8 million, an improvement of €8 million over the same period 2023, due to the typical seasonality of the business, with revenues reduced in the first quarter and significantly higher in the summer.

According to a note, in the first three months of 2024, air traffic volumes to Italy recorded record numbers for both the route and terminal components, at +8.7 percent and +10.5 percent, respectively. Italy, along with Spain and France, is the country with the highest growth rate in Europe.

Consolidated revenues of the company active in air traffic control amounted to 193.6 million (+9.5% compared to Q1 2023).

"The record increase in flights over Italy did not take us by surprise. We have worked to attract traffic to our airspace by making routes over domestic skies increasingly efficient, allowing airlines to reduce travel time and fuel," commented CEO, Pasqualino Monti.

"The group's economic and financial performance is an excellent basis for confirming our expectations for 2024 on both regulated and unregulated market activities," he added.
