AMR recently started providing 9-1-1 emergency ambulance services to the City of Manchester, New Hampshire, the largest city in the state. AMR was awarded the contract after a competitive bid process, and began providing service on December 18, 2010. The addition of this contract makes AMR the largest provider of pre-hospital emergency medical care in the State of New Hampshire. Adding to its current Somersworth and Derry locations, AMR will operate from a base location within the City of Manchester. AMR also has recently contracted with one of the hospitals within the City to provide inter-facility transport services as well as Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Critical Care Transport (CCT) services. AMR plans to use its Manchester location as the service hub for expansion into other markets north and south of the City.

The company also announced that it has completed its acquisition of Blythe Ambulance Service, a full service ALS provider in Blythe, California. Blythe Ambulance is located in Riverside County, where AMR holds the 9-1-1 contract. With the acquisition of Blythe Ambulance, AMR now covers 95% of Riverside County's 7,300 square miles as well as a significant state prison contract and adds to AMR's Critical Care and long distance transport capability with both Riverside County facilities and AMR's Lake Havasu, Ariz., operations.

Mark Bruning, AMR President, stated, ?We continue to execute on a number of growth opportunities, through both competitive RFP processes such as Manchester and strategic acquisitions such as Blythe Ambulance. Moreover, we are excited about the number of new market opportunities we expect to see, especially in competitive procurements, through 2011 along with our continuing robust pipeline of strategic acquisition opportunities.?
