Embotelladora Andina S.A. Announces Unaudited Consolidated Earnings Results for the Second Quarter and Six Months Ended June 30, 2020

Embotelladora Andina S.A. announced unaudited consolidated earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2020. For the six months, the company announced net sales were CLP 809,295,916,000 compared to CLP 840,180,450,000 for the same period a year ago. Net income was CLP 49,072,400,000 compared to CLP 61,981,986,000 for the same period a year ago. Earnings per Series A share, basic and diluted was CLP 49.10 compared to CLP 62.0 for the same period a year ago. Earnings per Series B share, basic and diluted was CLP 54.01 compared to CLP 68.2 for the same period a year ago.
For the quarter, the company announced net sales were CLP 312,303,124,000 compared to CLP 379,717,932,000 for the same period a year ago. Net income was CLP 580,084,000 compared to CLP 15,032,268,000 for the same period a year ago. Earnings per Series A share, basic and diluted was CLP 1.31 compared to CLP 15.98 for the same period a year ago. Earnings per Series B share, basic and diluted was CLP 1.44 compared to CLP 17.58 for the same period a year ago.
Embotelladora Andina SA (Coca-Cola Andina) is a Chile-based beverage company. The main activity of the Firm is to manufacture, bottle, market and distribute the products registered under the name of The Coca-Cola Company (TCCC), as well as to market and distribute some brands of other companies such as Monster, Heineken, AB Inbev, Diageo and Capel, among others. The operating segments of the Company have been determined by geographic locations where it operates and holds licenses to produce, market and distribute products: Chile, Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay. The four segments identified develop their business through the production and sale of soft drinks, other beverages and packaging.
