Stefan Fuss is appointed as the new CEO of Swiss exhaust gas purification specialist Hug Engineering AG effective from January 1, 2017. He succeeds Mark Fellmann, who has returned in a senior managerial role to Hug's parent company within the ElringKlinger Group.

Stefan Fuss (born 1962) studied Chemical Technology at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences. Having completed his studies, he initially joined Degussa AG and later Süd-Chemie AG (now Clariant), where he held various managerial positions at an international level. He was appointed Head of the Catalysts division at technology corporation Heraeus in 2010. In 2015, he became General Manager Marketing & Sales at Heraeus Metal Management.

'We are delighted that Stefan Fuss has taken up the post of CEO at Hug, as he brings the best possible credentials to the role,' says Mark Fellmann. 'Drawing on his outstanding expertise in process engineering and catalysis as well as his extensive knowledge of procedures within a manufacturing company of international scope, he is well placed to continue shaping the future of Hug Engineering AG in pursuit of success.'

By unlocking new markets, the company will be looking to strengthen its global presence significantly in the coming years, thereby further extending its lead within the area of exhaust gas purification technology.
