Electrosteel Castings Limited reported unaudited standalone earnings results for third quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2015. For the quarter, the company reported net sales of INR 4,881.320 million against INR 5,974.363 million a year ago. Total income was INR 4,973.981 million against INR 6,107.218 million for same period a year ago. Profit from operations before other income, finance cost was INR 546.646 million against INR 532.067 million for same period a year ago. Net profit from ordinary activities after tax was INR 128.003 million or INR 0.36 per diluted share before and after extraordinary items against INR 157.598 million or INR 0.44 per diluted share before and after extraordinary items for same period a year ago.
For the nine months, the company reported net sales of INR 13,963.380 million against INR 15,500.806 million a year ago. Total income was INR 14,245.485 million against INR 16,042.602 million for same period a year ago. Profit from operations before other income, finance cost was INR 1,477.723 million against INR 1,544.319 million for same period a year ago. Net profit from ordinary activities after tax was INR 349.683 million or INR 0.98 per diluted share before and after extraordinary items against INR 483.028 million or INR 1.36 per diluted share before and after extraordinary items for same period a year ago.
