Ecclesiastical Insurance : introduces newly enhanced specialist education product to the market

Ecclesiastical Insurance has introduced an enhanced education insurance product to the market. The product, designed to meet the core needs of education clients, includes a range of covers as well as additional, optional covers and standalone policies. The enhanced product draws on the insurer's 45 years' experience in the education market and provides the comprehensive, tailored cover brokers would expect from a specialist provider.

Alongside the traditional covers, Ecclesiastical has also:

• Maintained its unique Business Interruption (BI) cover as standard

• Included £1 million worth of libel and slander cover as standard

• Provided access to a crisis helpline if an incident could lead to a reputational crisis

• Added a 'Green Clause' covering environmental improvements to buildings following insured damage up to £500,000

New optional covers include Hirer's Liability cover for groups and organisations that hire the premises; Fidelity cover to protect against dishonesty of employees and professional indemnity for governors, trustees and management. In addition to these optional covers, Ecclesiastical now offers standalone cover for Cyber and Group Travel to education clients.

The newly enhanced product is backed by Ecclesiastical's specialist valuation and risk management expertise. The Ecclesiastical team will work with clients to survey buildings and provide bespoke guidance to help minimise the risk of underinsurance for clients.

Together with the insurer's experienced claims handlers, who are well versed in the complex property, business interruption and liability claims of the education sector, brokers can have peace of mind that their clients are in safe hands with a product born out of the specific market needs and knowledge.

The new product will replace the insurer's existing policy for new business and renewals from 1 December 2016.
