Eaton Vance Senior Floating Rate Trust reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended July 31, 2014. For the quarter, net investment income was $8.256 million or $0.224 per share against $8.962 million or $0.244 per share a year ago. Net realized and unrealized losses on investments were $0.663 million or $0.018 per share against net realized and unrealized gains on investments of $5.728 million or $0.166 per share a year ago. Net increase in net assets from operations was $7.554 million or $0.205 per share against $3.187 million or $0.076 per share a year ago.
For the nine months, net investment income was $25.352 million or $0.688 per share against $27.240 million or $0.772 per share a year ago. Net realized and unrealized losses on investments were $3.631 million or $0.099 per share against net realized and unrealized gains on investments of $5.945 million or $0.168 per share a year ago. Net increase in net assets from operations was $21.612 million or $0.586 per share against $33.023 million or $0.935 per share a year ago. The net asset value per common share on July 31, 2014 was $15.64 against $15.85 a year ago.
