Dragontail Systems Limited announced the expansion of its global R&D team to enable the Company to deliver on the growing number of exciting opportunities it has and sees going forward: As the company identifies projects and strategic initiatives that have recently emerged, the need to adapt the existing resources of the Company, in terms of personnel and others, to those opportunities that can lead to unique added values and synergies with the Company's operations, has arisen. With the R&D activities continuing to grow and being conducted mostly from Australia, the company appointed Kate Givoni as Group Chief Technology Officer (currently Head of R&D Australia) to manage Dragontail's global R&D team, based in the Company's R&D centre located in Melbourne, Australia. Guy Brandwine (previously Vice-President of Information Technology) has been appointed as Strategic Consultant to the Board on special innovation projects, to focus on the exciting additional research and development projects that are upcoming. Dragontail's Australian based R&D team expands with the addition of several highly experienced data scientists and additional programmers /QA & System architects. The Australian based team now outnumbers the Company's Israel-based R&D team. The company announced Kate Givoni's appointment as Group CTO. Kate has substantial experience over the past 15 years in a variety of management roles ­ leading, managing and mentoring software engineers ­ as well as developing software herself. She joined Dragontail in February 2018 as the Company's Head of R&D in Australia, and with the Australian based R&D team now outnumbering the Israel-based team, she is well placed to take on the Group CTO role. In line with Kate's appointment as Group CTO, Guy Brandwine, previously Vice-President of Information Technology, will take on the new role of Strategic Consultant to the Board focused on the numerous special innovation projects. Dragontail has also expanded its Australian based R&D team given the substantial opportunities the Company sees in Asia and other parts of the world. Several high level developers and system architects, as well as additional seasoned Data Scientists, all with significant expertise in computer vision, image recognition, and neural networks for machine learning and artificial intelligence [AI], have recently joined the team, adding to the additional programmers and QA & System architects that have joined over the past few months.
