Domino's pizza restaurant opened quietly in downtown Winston-Salem. The downtown Domino's is at 630 W. 4th St. in The Nash Building, near Foothills Brewing and the space where the new Bookmarks store will open. The restaurant is in the location formerly occupied by Victor's Custom Tailors & Ashneil Handbags, a retailer of custom clothing and handbags that moved to 2900 Maplewood Ave. in Winston-Salem. It is the first Domino's in Winston-Salem with the chain's new pizza theater design, offering open-area viewing of the food while it is being prepared. The downtown Domino's provides delivery services and has a small sit-down area for eating inside, including counter seating and several tables. In addition to whole pizzas, customers can buy "super" slices of pizza. The pizza-by-the-slice is not offered for delivery. The restaurant's hours are 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. seven days a week. This will be Domino's franchise owner Sean Heaney's sixth location in the Winston-Salem area, including locations on Country Club Road, Knollwood Street and North Point Boulevard.
