DIRECTV, Inc., the nation's leading satellite television service provider, heads to New Zealand and Australia for the second season of the widely popular original series "Project MyWorld" debuting October 1 at 6 p.m. ET/PT in HD with an encore airing at 9 p.m. ET/PT on DIRECTV's original entertainment channel, The 101.

In preparation for season two, DIRECTV conducted an open-casting call where hundreds of daring divas showed up in hopes of becoming the next "Project MyWorld" girl. Strutting an in-your-face style and take-no-prisoners swagger, Bridgetta Tomarchio stood out from the crowd and was chosen as the ?adventure girl? to join Shaina and Rene for season two. The search for the next "Project MyWorld" girl will air as a pre-season special on The 101 September 10 at 6 p.m. ET/PT in HD with an encore airing at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

Season two proves to be more exciting and tumultuous than the first as Shaina, Renee and Bridgetta traverse the globe in search of love, adventure and the very best independent bands that their MySpace friends have to offer.

In her search for the best independent band, Shaina bonds with undiscovered new musical talent and talks to them about their influences, musical taste and style. The three women often take the stage and rock out at private shows, concerts at well-known rock venues and wineries -- sometimes even taking the bands out with them on their new experiences and adventures -- ballroom dancing anyone?

Renee believes she might fall in love and puts ten eligible bachelors to the test by speed dating her way through New Zealand and Australia. Although she encounters some wild animals along the way, she feels close to home right from the start with a familiar stranger. Will she open her heart and give the rest of the bachelors a fighting chance or throw the towel in after the first love match?

Bridgetta introduces the group to exciting death-defying adventures and exotic wonders each city has to offer, proving to be the fearless wonder they were searching for. In the premiere episode, Bridgetta leads the trio in jumping off the tallest and most daunting structure in the Southern Hemisphere, The Sky Tower. Subsequent adventures include The Kawarau Bridge Jump, skydiving over the Great Barrier Reef and Zorbing with the Kiwis.

?`Project MyWorld' debuted last year and it quickly became one of our most successful programs on The 101,? said Patty Ishimoto, General Manager of The 101. ?The 101 strives to create original programming that speaks directly to the DIRECTV customer and gives them the type of shows they can't get anywhere else. With `Project My World,' viewers enjoyed the unaffected documentation and fresh storytelling which is absent from most present-day reality shows. Season two ramps things up a few notches with even more action, adventure and drama as the girls explore a new part of the globe and welcome Bridgetta, a feisty new partner to the group.?

The women begin their journey in Los Angeles and then continue to New Zealand with stops in Auckland, Christchurch, Queenstown and then on to Australia, stopping in Sydney, Nowra, Jindabyne, Brisbane and Cairns. Their adventures are shot documentary style in High-Definition and presented to viewers in a weekly half-hour television show.

"Project MyWorld" debuted last October as DIRECTV's fourth original series and is part documentary, part international odyssey and part internet experience come to life. The inaugural season of "Project MyWorld" followed Renee, Shaina and Taryn Southern, as they made their way through Europe.

Staying true to the premise of "Project MyWorld," the show's creators and stars, Shaina and Renee, will serve as executive producers while displaying their own unique personalities for the ultimate in viewer-generated content. The two, along with Bridgetta, will also maintain the show's website on MySpace at www.myspace.com/projectmyworld.

"Project MyWorld" is produced for DIRECTV by Asylum Entertainment.
