DIANA SHIPPING INC. ANNOUNCES THE DATE FOR THE 2011 FOURTH QUARTER AND YEAR-END RESULTS, CONFERENCE CALL AND WEBCAST

ATHENS, GREECE, January 26, 2012 - Diana Shipping Inc. (NYSE: DSX), a global shipping company specializing in the ownership and operation of dry bulk vessels, today announced that its financial results for the fourth quarter and year ended December 31, 2011 are scheduled to be released before the opening of the U.S. financial markets on Tuesday, February 28, 2012.
