As champions of happier and healthier living through the power of vacations, DIAMOND RESORTS INTERNATIONAL® (NYSE: DRII), with the support of more than 70 sports and entertainment celebrities, successfully raised $503,000 in net proceeds to benefit the Walt Disney Pavilion at Florida Hospital for Children (FHFC) at the Diamond Resorts Invitational Champion’s Gala and auction at Mystic Dunes Resort & Golf Club in Celebration, Florida, on January 16, 2016.

According to Michael Flaskey, Executive Vice President, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, Diamond Resorts International®, “This is our third annual golf tournament, and it has easily become the highlight of our year, every year, because it represents what is most important to us at Diamond Resorts International®, and that is family. We are honored to participate in the continued success of Florida Hospital for Children as their team of medical experts work diligently to improve the lives of children and families in the Orlando area.”

Marla Silliman, Senior Executive Officer, Florida Hospital for Children, said, “We are overwhelmed by the generosity and support of the attendees at the Champion's Gala and auction. Over the last three years we have been the proud recipient of over $1.7 million raised at these events hosted by Diamond Resorts International®, and we are so pleased to be able to accept this year’s donation and give it right back to the well-deserving children of our community.”

The Champion’s Gala and auction was the culminating event for the weeklong celebrity golf tournament hosted by Diamond Resorts International®. The Diamond Resorts Invitational benefiting Florida Hospital for Children and related events took place between January 12 and 17, 2016, at The Golden Bear Club in Windermere, Florida, and featured an 81-person field in a 54-hole celebrity tournament covered live on Golf Channel. After three days of exciting competition, former tennis professional Mardy Fish clinched the victory.

The celebrity lineup included Super Bowl MVPs Jerry Rice, Marcus Allen, Richard Dent and Mark Rypien; the Atlanta Braves Hall of Fame pitching contingent of Greg Maddux, John Smoltz and Tom Glavine; ESPN college football expert and former NFL quarterback Danny Kanell; baseball greats Reggie Jackson, Roger Clemens and Gaylord Perry; and entertainers Larry The Cable Guy, Jake Owen and Colt Ford.

As part of the event, Diamond Resorts International® delivered a full-scale, multidimensional vacation experience consisting of activities for all ages, family-friendly excursions, dinner parties prepared by Celebrity Chef and Humanitarian Art Smith, and headline concerts by Huey Lewis and the News, and country music superstars Colt Ford and Jake Owen.
