Press release of Mar. 19, 2012

The Supervisory Board of Deutsche Postbank AG in its meeting today elected Frank Strauß to be the company's Chairman of the Management Board as of July 1, 2012. He succeeds Stefan Jütte (65), who will leave the Management Board as of June 30, 2012. Strauss is a member of the Management Board of Postbank since July 1, 2011 and responsible for Sales.

Rainer Neske, Chairman of Postbank's Supervisory Board, expressly thanked the departing CEO for his extremely successful time in office: "Stefan Jütte has been at the front line of Postbank's development for more than a decade. During his time as Chairman of the Board of Management, he succeeded in keeping Postbank on track in its customer business and limiting the impact of the financial market crisis on the Bank while positively accompanying its integration into Deutsche Bank with a high degree of commitment. With the Postbank4Future strategy program that is closely associated with his name, he provided the right answers to the current challenges facing the Bank. This is why the Supervisory Board and Postbank's employees owe him their gratitude." Jütte has been a member of Postbank's Board of Management since 2000. He was previously the Spokesman for the Board of Management of DSL Bank, which was merged with Postbank. Before becoming CEO in 2009, Jütte was the Board of Management member responsible for Corporate Banking, one of Postbank's key earnings drivers, which he successfully developed into the Bank's second pillar.

In his role as Board of Management member responsible for Sales, the future CEO, Frank Strauß, is currently in charge of business with corporate clients and business customers, commercial real estate and mobile sales. Before joining Postbank, he was the Head of Deutsche Bank's Private & Business Clients in Germany and a member of the Management Board of Deutsche Bank Private & Business Clients (PBC) from 2006 to 2010. During this time, he made an important contribution to integrating the operations of Berliner Bank and norisbank and establishing the cooperation with Postbank, among other things. He previously set up PBC's Asian activities in India and China in 2005, at which point he became a member of the PBC Global Executive Committee, Deutsche Bank's most senior management committee for private and business customers. Strauß is also the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Bank Bauspar-AG and norisbank GmbH.
