(Alliance News) - CY4Gate Spa announced Tuesday that it has been awarded three international research calls under the European Defense Fund and Digital Europe Program worth a total of nearly EUR1.7 million over three years from 2025, boosting the group backlog.

The first project, called "ECYSAP EYE," was awarded by an international consortium of which Cy4Gate is a member, has a duration of three years and a total value of about EUR37 million.

The project features companies and research organizations from as many as eight nations and aims to build a European cyber situational awareness platform for a greater understanding of what is happening in the cyber space that will enable a proactive rather than reactive defense posture that will also include capabilities to propose options for decision makers to choose from, in managing crisis scenarios.

The second, worth about EUR20 million, will be distributed among companies and academic institutions in 13 European nations and will also run for three years. Called "FMB Tech," it aims to define and specify the best and most innovative technologies that will have to contribute to the development of the Main Battle Tanks of the future, vehicles to be used by land forces.

Finally, the third EUR2.5 million project, called "Italian Digital Media Observatory," features eight national companies and research organizations and aims to create technologies that - by leveraging advanced artificial intelligence algorithms - are able to detect fake news that creates disinformation.

CY4Gate's stock closed Monday down 0.6 percent at EUR6.27 per share.
