Cummins Inc. has announced the appointment of Jim Fier as vice president of engineering, heavy-duty, mid-range and light-duty, or HMLD, engine business, effective April 1, 2015. Fier began his career with Cummins in 1986 as a Service Engineer and over the course of his career he has held various roles including Executive Engineer - HMLD On-Highway, World Wide Chief Engineer, Technical Project Leader and Program Leader and currently serves as Executive Director - HMLD Engineering. In his current role, Fier has led all new product development and current product support of Cummins 2.8 to 15 liter on and off-highway products for the global market.
