CoStar Group, Inc. announced the appointment of two new directors, Louise S. Sams and Robert W. Musslewhite. Louise Sams joins the Board with extensive experience as both a media executive and practicing attorney. As a result of her broad range of business and legal experience, Sams brings valuable business development, corporate governance, technology, and international experience to the Board. Previously, Sams was the Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Turner Broadcasting System, Inc., overseeing legal work related to all of the business activities of Turner and its subsidiaries worldwide. Most recently, Sams’ focus was on issues related to technology, information security, use of data and consumer privacy, as well as enterprise-wide risk management. Robert Musslewhite joins the Board with nearly twenty years of leadership experience in information services businesses, including The Advisory Board Company (Nasdaq: ABCO) where he served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Now, following the acquisition of ABCO by Optum, Musslewhite is the Chief Executive Officer of OptumInsight. He brings an abundance of experience in executive management and leadership; business operations and development; growth strategies; and research and technology. Prior to ABCO, Musslewhite served as an Associate Principal with McKinsey & Company, a global management consulting firm. He also serves on the board of Ascend Learning.
