The Official Association of Industrial Engineers of Madrid (COIMM) was created in
1950 to facilitate advancement in the profession and foster an attitude of adaptation to society's new needs. The COIIM created the Honorary Mentions in 2001 with a view to giving recognition to the institutions and people who have carried out work that occupies a more prominent place within industrial engineering.
