Companhia Energética de Minas Gerais (Cemig) is one of the largest Brazilian producers of electricity. Net sales break down by activity as follows:
- electricity production, transformation, transmission, distribution and sales (91.5%): 55,045 GWh sold in 2019 and broken down into industrial customers (29.1%), residential customers (19.2%), commercial customers (17.4%) and other (34.3%);
- purchase, transportation and sales of natural gas (7.2%);
- other (1.3%).
At the end of 2019, the group had more than 80 power plants with an installed capacity of 5 955 MW.
