FITZGERALD, Ga. (AP) _ Colony Bankcorp Inc. (CBAN) on Thursday reported fourth-quarter profit of $2.8 million.

The Fitzgerald, Georgia-based bank said it had earnings of 29 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to 32 cents per share.

The bank holding company posted revenue of $20.6 million in the period. Its revenue net of interest expense was $17.4 million, which topped Street forecasts.

For the year, the company reported profit of $10.2 million, or $1.12 per share. Revenue was reported as $62.6 million.

Colony Bankcorp shares have dropped 5.5% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $15.59, a climb of almost 1% in the last 12 months.
