On October 25, the exhibition of "The Spirit of the Times Shines upon Hong Kong" was opened at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, where the results of a Hong Kong youth architecture painting competition was unveiled and an award ceremony was held. The competition was jointly organized by CSCEC and Bauhinia Magazine.

With the theme of "a better city in my mind", since the competition was launched in mid-September, more than 12,000 students from a total of 258 primary and secondary schools participated in the competition and sent more than 1,100 entries to the competition organizing committee to express their longing for a better city in their mind. There were four groups in the competition, namely, Chinese painting and Western painting groups for primary and secondary schools. Finally, 8 champions, 16 runners-up, 32 second runners-up, and many merit award winners were selected.

With their imaginative brushes, Hong Kong students depicted their boundless yearning for the the motherland's development and expressed their vision for a better future of Hong Kong.

"I hope that Hong Kong will be better and more prosperous, and that the whole city will nurture more meaningful and distinctive buildings." The winner of the western painting group for secondary school students, Huang Qianbei, said in his prize speech.
