WESTWOOD, Mass. (AP) _ Chase Corp. (CCF) on Wednesday reported fiscal first-quarter profit of $7.4 million.

The Westwood, Massachusetts-based company said it had net income of 77 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 83 cents per share.

The protective materials maker posted revenue of $66.8 million in the period.

Chase shares have decreased 8.5% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $108.44, an increase of 13% in the last 12 months.
