When family entertainment leader Chuck E. Cheese's launched its gluten-free pizza and cupcake last fall it created a custom YouTube video to give fans a behind-the-scenes look at the company's unique gluten-free preparation process. Titled "Chuck E. Cheese's Does Gluten-free the Right Way With New Menu Options Nationwide," the video demonstrates the dedicated safety procedures involved in baking and serving the gluten-free menu items in all stores nationwide. Now, PR News is adding to the excitement of the launch by recognizing the company's video as a finalist in the Social Media Icon Awards individual YouTube video or channel category.

"When we created our new gluten-free products, we wanted to show our fans the safety steps we take when serving the pizza and cupcake," said Joe Elliot, Chuck E. Cheese's vice president of research and development. "By producing a video, we were able to share this procedure with our customers in a way that shows the true integrity of the process. Chuck E. Cheese's is very proud of our gluten-free items, and we're honored to be recognized by PR News as a finalist for our YouTube video."

The finalist announcement comes on the heels of Chuck E. Cheese's successful launch of its gluten-free menu items. In addition to receiving more than 56,000 views on YouTube to date, the video has also been shared with the gluten-free community and Chuck E. Cheese's fans nationwide on social media, blogs and news outlets.

According to PR News' website, "the Social Media Icon Awards winners and honorable mentions took chances, made incredible strides and understand the power of social media in public relations." The winners and honorable mentions of the inaugural program will be announced during PR News' Social Media Icon Awards Luncheon on April 17 from 12 to 2 p.m. at The Grand Hyatt in New York City.

In addition to its successful YouTube video, Chuck E. Cheese's also has a social media program that includes interacting with mom bloggers and guests through its Facebook, Twitter, foursquare and Pinterest pages. The program was recently named one of the top among restaurant brands by Restaurant Business magazine.

Guests can learn more about Chuck E. Cheese's gluten-free products and other menu items by visiting the brand's official Facebook application, YouTube channel or website.
