Cavotec SA Appoints Patrick Baudin as President of Company Services, Effective February 12, 2018

Cavotec SA announced that Mr. Patrick Baudin has been appointed President of Cavotec Services. Mr. Baudin will join the company on February 12, 2018 based at the company’s headquarters in Lugano, Switzerland. Mr. Baudin will report to the company's group CEO, Mikael Norin, and will be a member of the Executive Management Team. Mr. Baudin will be tasked with building up the new division with the aim of offering a world class after-market portfolio to support Cavotec’s customers in airports, ports and general industry. In addition to spare parts, repair and maintenance Cavotec Services will in the future offer innovative solutions that will allow Cavotec’s customers to focus on their core activities. Most recently Mr. Baudin served as President and CEO of General Electric Renewable Energy Canada, offering new projects and rehabilitation solutions for Hydro Power customers in North America.
Cavotec SA is a Switzerland-based company active in four business segments: Ports and Maritime, Airports, Mining and Tunneling, and General Industry. Through the Ports and Maritime segment, it offers automated mooring equipment, shore-to-ship electrical systems and electrical transmission and control systems, such as collector columns, swivel joint units and cable reels. The Airports segment includes propulsion controlled aircraft systems, fuelling arms, units for power and dry preconditioned air supply of aircrafts, cable coilers and power conversion equipment. The Mining and Tunneling segment comprises various mining equipment, such as cables, cable reels, power connectors and industrial radio remote controls. The General Industry segment offers a range of products, including slip ring columns for wind turbines and power connectors for high speed trains, among others. On September 3, 2012, it acquired aircraft ground support equipment manufacturer Combibox Systems Scandinavia AB.
