The BUWOG Group began construction on the new "City Apartments" project in the 12th district in December 2016. Just 10 minutes from Schönbrunn Palace 144 condominiums and investment apartments will be built at Rechte Wienzeile 229, based on the current status of planning. The two- to four-room apartments are to each have approx. 46 to 107 sqm of total floor area with modern and well-conceived floor plans. Facilities for everyday needs such as doctors, government offices, shopping opportunities as well as schools and day-care options can be reached quickly and recreational opportunities are not far away either: the spacious park facilities of Schönbrunn are ideal for jogging, taking walks and relaxing, and the Auer-Welsbach Park with its playground and spacious area for dogs as well as the Theresienbad Park can be reached on foot in a few minutes. Through the location on the Rechte Wienzeile the "City Apartments" are also ideally connected to the Wiener Linien public transportation network and the network of roads. The complex is being built between two metro lines and the stations "Schönbrunn" (U4), "Meidling Hauptstraße" (U4) and "Niederhofstraße" (U6), which will bring users directly to the city centre in a few minutes. The four bus lines (9A, 10A, 15A and 63A) will also provide a quick connection. By car the western approach to the A1 can be quickly reached via Hadikgasse, as can the southern approach to the A2 via Grünbergstraße.
