Appointment Edouard Guillaud joins the Board of Directors at the Bull Group

Edouard Guillaud, former Chief of Defense Staff, has been co‐opted as a Director at a meeting of the Board of Directors of Bull on 26 February 2014. He joins the Board as an Independent Director, where he will contribute his considerable knowledge of the defense sector, security and high‐ performance computing.
Edouard Guillaud will take the seat left vacant by Anne Maréchal, who has tendered her resignation following her appointment to a new role at the Financial Markets Authority.
Edouard Guillaud is a graduate of the Ecole Supérieure de Guerre Navale and of the Cours Supérieur Inter‐Armées. In 1975 he was appointed as a Naval Ensign, and between 1980 and 2000, he held various positions including Naval Lieutenant and Lieutenant Commander, and commanded a number of ships in the French Navy. As an IT Officer, he was also officer in charge of the computerized combat system on aircraft carriers, and program officer for the aircraft carrier program. Appointed to the rank of Rear Admiral in 2002, he became Deputy Chief of the Naval Staff of the French President until 2004, at which date he became Naval Prefect for the English Channel and North Sea. In 2006, he was appointed Chief of the Military Staff of the French President and was promoted to the rank of Admiral in 2007. In 2010, he was appointed as Chief of Defense Staff, a role he occupied until February 2014. He is now Chairman and CEO Of Odas.
