METTAWA, Ill., Jan. 25, 2018 - Brunswick Product Protection, the extended marine protection division of Brunswick Corporation (NYSE: BC), recently launched a major expansion of its Passport and Passport Premier extended engine and accessory protection plans for recreational power boats. This service contract program is the preferred choice of top dealers across the United States.

'Customers value the peace of mind that advanced product protection can bring,' said Cecil Cohn, vice president - Brunswick Financial Services. 'I am excited about our major program enhancements. We believe our breadth of coverage is truly industry-leading and it will certainly help our dealer partners continue to deliver a superior purchase experience.'

For the first time, the top-of-the-line Passport Premier plan is now available for new and pre-owned boats. Passport Premier offers the program's most comprehensive engine component coverage. This includes truly unique non-defective engine breakdown protection against overheating, scored pistons and much more.

The accessory protection has been enhanced for both Passport and Passport Premier. The accessory plans protect the major components throughout the vessel and are custom tailored to the customer's boat type. Coverage has been expanded for all the existing accessory plans, from runabout to cruiser, plus three new accessory protection plans have also been introduced - dayboat, marlin and yacht.

'We are very pleased to be able to make our very popular product protection brand even better, all with the superior service levels our leading dealers expect from Brunswick,' said Jason Cochran, national sales manager - Brunswick Product Protection. 'Plus, we support our dealers' total business by covering pretty much all types of recreational power boats, both their engines and accessories,' he continued.

Terms for Passport and Passport Premier go out to eight years for new, and three years for pre-owned boat protection. The policies are competitively priced and adding significant profits to each boat sale. Important downstream service revenues are also realized as most claims work is returned to the dealership where the customer bought the extended protection.

As of today, the enhanced Passport and Passport Premier program is available in 45 states. The remaining states - Arizona, Iowa, Oregon, Washington and Wisconsin - are in process to be activated very shortly. Dealers interested in offering the program can call Brunswick Product Protection at 800-950-3808.
