Brother Industries, Ltd. announced that at the board of directors meeting held on June 24, 2014, the company resolved to appoint Kazunari Uchida and
Akira Yamada as Independent Advisory Committee Members. Soichi Matsuo and Takashi Oizumi, who had been members of the Independent Advisory Committee of Brother since June 2011, resigned from the Independent Advisory Committee at the close of the Board of Directors meeting. Kazunari Uchida presently working as Professor at Waseda University since 2006. Akira Yamada presently working in Miyake & Yamazaki Tokyo Office since 1997. Soichi Matsuno was nominated as the outside director of Brother at the 122nd ordinary general meeting of shareholders held on June 24, 2014.
