Bogo-Medellin Milling Co., Inc. reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended December 31, 2021. For the quarter, the company reported revenue was PHP 83.799 million compared to PHP 102.740 million a year ago. Net Income was PHP 20.310 million compared to net loss of PHP 15.649 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was PHP 3.38 compared to basic loss per share from continuing operations of PHP 2.61 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was PHP 3.38 compared to Diluted loss per share from continuing operations of PHP 2.61 a year ago.
For the six months, revenue was PHP 85.767 million compared to PHP 120.160 million a year ago. Net loss was PHP 21.32 million compared to PHP 33.845 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was PHP 3.55 compared to PHP 5.64 a year ago. Diluted loss per share from continuing operations was PHP 3.55 compared to PHP 5.64 a year ago.
Bogo-Medellin Milling Co., Inc. is a Philippines-based sugar mill, a manufacturing company. The Company is focused on producing, buying, manufacturing, refining, milling, importing, exporting, selling, exchanging, hypothecating, pledging, and general dealing in, store, ship, transport and carry sugar, sugar cane, sugar beets, molasses, syrups and related products. It operates through a single segment, which is sugar milling. The Company operates in two seasons: the milling and the off-season. Its mill site is located at Luy-a, Medellin, Cebu. The Company, through its subsidiary, BOMEDCO Agricultural Corporation (BAC), is engaged primarily in leasing agricultural land to be cultivated for sugar cane farming. BAC is engaged in the developing and cultivating private agricultural lands and harvesting, preserving, packing and selling the products of said lands. BAC produces sugar cane from its plantation for milling.
