NORTH HUNTINGDON, Pa., April 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Beacon Redevelopment Industrial Corporation (Pink Sheets: BCND) today announced the status of its redevelopment and demolition project Westmoreland Glass Factory in Grapeville, Pennsylvania.

Beacon Pennsylvania Holdings, Inc.'s and its bid winning contractor, Renaissance Renovations and Development LLC, today announced that it has formally contracted Environmental and Safety Training, Inc. to provide it with a formal environmental survey with respect to the Westmoreland Glass Factory.

Further developments, the company has requested that the Hempfield Township Board of Supervisors schedule a public meeting. This meeting will consist of representatives of Beacon and RR&D, along with their environmental and legal consultants, presenting a formal update as to the progress regarding the demolition phase. Beacon will advise shareholders as to when the meeting will occur.
