WILMINGTON, Del., June 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Beacon Redevelopment Industrial Corporation (Pink Sheets: BCND) is pleased to announce that it appointed Rick Blackburn as President and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Blackburn has eighteen years of experience with overseeing construction development and demolitions. Prior to his construction profession, Mr. Blackburn spent ten years as a Ranger with the United States Army Special Forces. As he is also manager for Renaissance Renovations and Development LLC, the contractor that received the high bid for demolition of the Westmoreland Glass Factory in Grapeville, Pennsylvania, he brings with him existing knowledge of the project. Mr. Blackburn's tasks will include setting the demolition of the Westmoreland Glass Factory on a forward moving path, working out a program for the company's West Virginia acreage and other projects, and looking for new business opportunities.

Beacon Redevelopment would like to thank Adam Marek for the services he provided over the last year as President. During Mr. Marek's tenure at Beacon, he brought in various assets to the company and reduced the outstanding shares of common stock increasing the value for its shareholders. The company wishes Mr. Marek success with the construction ventures he is independently pursuing in Europe.

As a result of the management change, the company's subsidiary, Beacon Pennsylvania Holdings, Inc., ceased leasing office space in Irwin, Pennsylvania.
