Sturgeon Bay, WI-Baylake Bank Senior Vice President of Human Resources Kenneth Lammersfeld recently announced the appointment of Rick Schabo to the position of Market President-Appleton. Baylake Bank opened its second Financial Center in Outagamie County in early February of this year at 333 S. Nicolet Road, Appleton, Wisconsin. As Market President, Schabo will lead the commercial banking, cash management, and private banking team for this new location and assist in driving Baylake Bank's growth in Appleton and the Fox Valley area.

"I am very excited to be part of Baylake Bank as they enter into the Fox Valley market. Working in the banking industry for more than 23 years and living in the Fox Valley area my entire life, I hope to introduce Baylake Bank with their great reputation to both individuals and companies in our community," Schabo said. "Baylake is large enough to provide a full array of product and service solutions, from a community bank where the decisions are made locally and in a very timely manner."

Schabo earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire. Prior to joining Baylake Bank, Schabo worked in commercial banking for more than 15 years, first as Vice President of Commercial Banking at M&I Bank Fox Valley, and later was named Senior Vice President of Commercial Banking at Associated Bank. Over the course of his financial services career, Schabo has had responsibilities in retail banking, consumer lending, as well as mortgage lending.

"Rick brings a great deal of experience, community leadership and a vast knowledge of the Fox Valley to this position and to Baylake Bank. Together the entire Appleton team is committed to being a trusted and valuable financial resource for the community," Lammersfeld said.

Schabo enjoys a variety of outdoor activities with his family, as well as coaching a number of youth teams in the Greenville and Hortonville communities. In addition he is Treasurer and Board Member of the Hortonville Basketball/Backcourt Club and a member of the Downtown Appleton Rotary Club.
