British bank, Barclays Plc (LSE:BARC) is considering the purchase of a unit of Société Générale Société anonyme (ENXTPA:GLE). According to Reuters, the British bank is considering the move to expand its services for wealth customers. Societe Generale had earlier invited bids for its Kleinwort Hambros unit.
The French group is also planning to sell its private banking operations in Switzerland.
