BankMuscat (SAOG) : BankMuscat ‘Tadhamun’ support reaches out to needy homes

BankMuscat, the leading financial services provider in the Sultanate, has extended support to needy homes across the Sultanate as part of its 'Tadhamun' social initiative. The objective of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative is to address the requirements of beneficiary homes which do not have basic home furniture and are in urgent need of repair.

BankMuscat Hearts, an informal society of the Bank employees who conduct voluntary social work, distributed furniture, including beds, chairs, tables and household appliances like stove, refrigerator and utensils to the beneficiaries identified by the Ministry of Social Development. The BankMuscat Hearts team is continuing the distribution process to reach the targeted 100 families in Oman.

Essam Al Sharji, CSR Manager, said: "The Tadhamun initiative is yet another example of the Bank's CSR commitment to strengthen the hands of the needy and help them join the mainstream society to contribute to development of the nation."

Al Sharji added: "The Tadhamun campaign was conceived as a simple process, enabling everyone to participate without any financial burden. The basic premise of the campaign was that no matter how small the donation, it can transform someone's life. The initiative succeeded in reaching out to all sections of society, thereby unleashing the culture of donation and encouraging people to generously donate to the cause."

BankMuscat Hearts conducts voluntary social work benefiting disadvantaged sections of society. Reflecting the corporate ethos, the Bank staff seizes every available opportunity to channel resources for creating sustainable, positive changes in communities by investing in their welfare to equip them for a better life.
