Bank Millennium S A : named an Innovator 2021 according to Global Finance Magazine

Bank Millennium open banking services received Special Honours in The Innovators 2021 recognition programme organised by the Global Finance magazine. This is yet another international award for the bank's innovative solutions.
In Global Finance's recognition programme Bank Millennium has been hailed 2021 Outstanding Innovator in Retail Banking for 'Bank Millennium Open Banking Services' (Special Honours).
- This award gives us confidence that we are not only a leader in tapping the potential of open banking on the domestic market but are also introducing solutions, which are internationally recognised. From the very outset we saw formidable potential in the opportunities brought-on by PSD2. It was our ambition to use them to optimise processes in order to give customers previously unheard-of opportunities. Just after the outbreak of the pandemic we stepped-up our efforts in this respect, launching a number of innovative solutions facilitating acquisition and management of financial products in a safe, convenient and fully remote form. We refuse to slow down, we are focused on consistently carrying out our strategy, never ceasing to expand our array of services based on open banking - João Bras Jorge, Chairman of Bank Millennium, commented.
The Innovators 2021 is a programme, which recognises companies that regularly identify new routes and design new tools in finances.
- Finance innovations proved critical to speeding needed support to different stakeholders during the health care crisis - said Joseph Giarraputo, publisher and editorial director of Global Finance.
This is further recognition of Bank Millennium's solutions this year. In March Millennium won the Celent Model Bank award for its open banking services, which were being steadily implemented in 2020. Bank Millennium is providing such services in open banking as:
Finanse 360° service, which allows checking the account balance and history of transactions on an account in no less than nine other banks,
transfers may be initiated via its Millenet Internet system from accounts in six other banks,
confirming income when applying for a cash loan by means of logging on to one of eight other banks,
process of opening a business account with use of identity confirmation by logging-on to another bank.
