Autosports Group Limited advised that Tom Pockett has given notice of his intention to retire as Independent Non-executive Director and Chairman effective 30 November 2021 after the conclusion of the Company's Annual General Meeting. James Evans, who was recently appointed as an Independent Non- executive Director, is proposed to be elected as the new chairman of the Company from 1 December 2021. James has over 40 years' experience, including 30 years in banking and financial services. James has held the position of Chairman at ME Bank and Suncorp Portfolio Services Limited and is currently the Chairman of Pendal Group Limited. James brings extensive experience as a listed company Chairman which will ensure a smooth transition into 2022.
Autosports Group Limited is an Australia-based automotive dealer company. The Company's principal activities include the sale of new and used motor vehicles, distribution of finance and insurance products on behalf of retail financiers and automotive insurers, sale of aftermarket products and spare parts, motor vehicle servicing and collision repair services. It deals with various automotive brands including Alpina, Aston Martin, Audi, Bentley, BMW, BMW Motorrad, Ducati, Jaguar, Kia, and Lamborghini, among others.
