Auckland International Airport Limited announced the appointment of a new independent director, Mark Cairns, who will join the Board from 1 June 2022. Mr. Cairns retired last year as Chief Executive of Port of Tauranga following 16 years in the role. He will stand for election at the Auckland Airport Annual Shareholders Meeting currently scheduled to be held on 20 October 2022.
