Atul Ltd. reported unaudited parent financial results for the third quarter and nine months ended Dec. 31, 2016. For the quarter, the company reported profit from operations before other income, finance costs & exceptional items of INR 854 million against INR 886 million for the same period of last year. Profit from ordinary activities before tax was INR 827.7 million against INR 883.5 million for the same period of last year. Net profit for the period was INR 585.8 million or INR 19.75 per basic and diluted share against INR 617.6 million or INR 20.83 per basic and diluted share for the same period of last year. Sales/income from operations were INR 6,625 million against INR 6,260 million for the same period of last year.
For the nine months, the company reported profit from operations before other income, finance costs & exceptional items of INR 3,026.3 million against INR 2,837.1 million for the same period of last year. Profit from ordinary activities before tax was INR 3,038.9 million against INR 2,995.7 million for the same period of last year. Net profit for the period was INR 2,214.4 million or INR 74.66 per basic and diluted share against INR 2,086.9 million or INR 70.36 per basic and diluted share for the same period of last year. Sales/income from operations were INR 20,496 million against INR 19,111.7 million for the same period of last year.
