As President of AT&T Georgia, Shiroishi will work closely with community and business leaders, elected officials and others at AT&T to continue to bring advanced communications technologies, including mobile 4G LTE and other broadband services, to consumers and businesses.

"I am honored for this opportunity and look forward to leading our great AT&T team in Georgia," Shiroishi said. "We are off to a great start on Project VIP, an initiative to significantly expand and enhance our wireless and wired broadband services to more Georgians in order to deliver the advanced services consumers and businesses demand. Our company and our employees have been a part of local communities in Georgia since 1879, and I look forward to continuing our legacy of investment, job creation, innovation and community engagement."

Shiroishi is a 15-year veteran of AT&T and its predecessor companies. Beginning her career in wholesale, she quickly moved through positions of increasing responsibility on a state and regional level that include customer experience, public policy, and regulatory affairs. Most recently Ms. Shiroishi served as the Vice President, Sustainability and Philanthropy. In this role, she was involved in $565 million investment to bring in electric vehicles and alternative fuel models and the company's signature charitable program, AT&T Aspire. Under AT&T Aspire, over $100 million has been invested in programs that help underserved youth succeed in high school and go on to post-secondary education or meaningful employment, and in 2012 the company announced an additional $250 million towards these same goals.

In addition to her responsibilities in the company, Shiroishi has also been very involved in community and charitable activities. A native of Georgia, Ms. Shiroishi attended Agnes Scott College and started her career as a high school teacher. She'll reside in Atlanta, Georgia with her husband, Jason, and two daughters.
