On a per-share basis, the McLean, Virginia-based company said it had profit of 13 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, were 9 cents per share.

The investment company posted revenue of $14.7 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $6.9 million.

For the year, the company reported net income of $5.4 million, or 9 cents per share, swinging to a profit in the period. Revenue was reported as $21.8 million.

The company's shares closed at $2.74. A year ago, they were trading at $3.49.
