The Board of Ardea Resources Limited advised that it has appointed Ms. Sarah Mitchell as General Manager ­Technical Services, effective immediately. Ms. Mitchell brings a comprehensive process design and commissioning background, having 20 years' experience in mining and engineering projects, from evaluation through pre-feasibility, feasibility and detailed design stages across a series of cobalt and nickel projects, and copper, uranium, iron ore, mineral sands, and gold projects. Having worked on a broad project portfolio, ranging from small concentrators to complex, billion-dollar hydrometallurgical process plants, Ms. Mitchell is well equipped to spearhead the Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) and Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) phases of Ardea's KNP Cobalt Zone project, through her previous work on projects including: Níquel do Vermelho nickel laterite project, Brazil; Syerston nickel-cobalt-scandium laterite project, NSW; Tenke Fungurume copper-cobalt project, DRC; Goro nickel laterite Project, New Caledonia. Ms. Mitchell has been instrumental in the successful implementation of these and other projects, managing project budgets and schedules, pre-feasibility, feasibility and value engineering studies, design reviews, team management, contract management, governance and due diligence processes, engineering package development and bid review, plant optimisation and metal accounting. In this new position with Ardea, Ms. Mitchell will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of the Company's strategic production plan for the KNP Cobalt Zone. The role will assist in managing the feasibility, design, construction and commissioning phases; and ensure that the Company's values are core to the culture at each operation.
