Amerant Bancorp Inc. reported earnings results for the fourth quarter and full year ended December 31, 2021. For the fourth quarter, the company reported net interest income was USD 55.78 million compared to USD 48.65 million a year ago. Net income was USD 65.47 million compared to USD 8.47 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 1.79 compared to USD 0.21 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 1.77 compared to USD 0.2 a year ago.
For the full year, net interest income was USD 205.14 million compared to USD 189.55 million a year ago. Net income was USD 112.92 million compared to net loss of USD 1.72 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 3.04 compared to basic loss per share from continuing operations of USD 0.04 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 3.01 compared to diluted loss per share from continuing operations of USD 0.04 a year ago.
