targets
The present information fulfils the obligation imposed by Article 22a item 5 of the Waste Act of 14 December 2012.

CELBI S.A.(The Company) is a member of the Altri Group. It produces bleached eucalyptus pulp (BEKP - Bleached Eucalyptus Kraft Pulp)
Pulp produced by Celbi has several applications, namely the production of paper, and in particular:

Celbi is positioned in the B2B market. Its main customers are manufacturing industries. The Company provides information on its commitment to environmental protection below.
CELBI S.A. does not limit the performance of its obligations to cases where the collection and processing of waste is most profitable
In 2020, a Sustainability Advisory Group was created at Altri Group level, chaired by the CEO. It includes senior managers from the various operational and functional areas, as well as Board members.
The aim of the Sustainability Advisory Group is to support the Board in definition and monitoring of its sustainability strategy.
At the same time, the Altri Group joined the United Nations Global Compact with a commitment to align its strategy and reflect its ten fundamental Principles in its culture and daily operations.
The Altri Group is committed to contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals defined in the 2030 World Agenda, identifying those where they have the greatest positive impact through operations, products and solutions, as well as those where the Group intends to minimize the negative impact.
In recent years, the Company has undertaken several investments aimed at reducing environmental pollution and protecting the environment. The Company is meeting the waste management targets imposed on it.

CELBI S.A. ensures adequate availability of the collection system in the area in which it markets the products
In the manufacturing process, the Company uses materials and substances such as wood, water, chemicals, including oxygen, caustic soda, hydrogen peroxide, chlorine dioxide and sulphuric acid.
It is possible to reuse packaging from the Company's products.
Celbi uses wood produced in sustainably managed forests, with residual biomass being valued as energy produced in biomass power plants.
All products are sustainable, renewable and biodegradable.
It is possible to recycle packaging from the Company's products to the extent of packaging containing only wire.
The Company has procedures for dealing with waste generated in the production process.
Part of the non-hazardous industrial waste from the process activities is deposited in the waste controlled landfill (WCL) which has been in operation since 1998.
The organic waste resulting from the wood preparation as well as the sludge from the effluent treatment is processed in the waste composting plant.
The waste resulting from non-process activities (paper, plastic, glass, used oils, waste contaminated with oils, metal, etc.) is collected through an extensive network of containers for selective collection and sent out to external authorised waste management operators for treatment, elimination or further uses.
The bark and residual biomass from the wood yard and wood preparation plant resulting from the debarking of wood for the process are sent to Biomass Power Plants in order to generate electricity.
The Company's waste management costs are approximately €3 per tonne of pulp.

The Company hires new employees every year; hence, it has the organizational resources necessary to perform the obligations imposed on it.

It is clear from the data presented that the number of employees (including those dealing with environmental issues) is on an upward trend.
The Company implemented a set of measures for the prevention, control and surveillance of the pandemic. As a result of the various measures implemented, during FY20, there was an expense of approximately 630 thousand EUR (including personnel expenses, namely, shifts and overtime, as well as travel expenses, donations, protective equipment, expenses with hiring companies specialized in disinfecting spaces, among others).

The data show that the level of product sales (in tonnes) showed an upward trend until 2020. As a result, the Company has the financial resources necessary to perform the duties imposed on it.
