Alba Mineral Resources plc announced that Manuel Lamboley has been appointed to the board as a Non-Executive Director with immediate effect. Mr. Lamboley is a financier with over 30 years' experience in international broking and investment banking. Mr. Lamboley previously served as Head of the Geneva office of Williams de Bröe, as well as holding senior positions at Bank Julius Bär, Kidder Peabody, Paine Webber International and Prudential-Bache Securities.

Mr. Lamboley has extensive knowledge of the investment banking industry and long-standing relationships with major investors and financial advisers worldwide. He has previously been non-executive director of several listed companies in the mining and energy sectors, including International Mining & Infrastructure Corporation Plc, and was also previously an independent director of UK-based African Aura Resources Limited. Chade Van Hatch, previously Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary, has resigned from the Board with immediate effect.

The company's financial reporting and record-keeping function will be outsourced to an external provider and Ben Harber of Shakespeare Martineau has been appointed as Company Secretary. Mr. Harber is a partner at Shakespeare Martineau and has worked in the company secretarial arena for 19 years. He is a qualified Company Secretary and has extensive knowledge and experience dealing with both private and publicly quoted companies with specialist focus on AIM listed companies.
