Camelle Naidoo a Grade 12 Consumer Studies learner from Kloof High School recently participated in an online competition run by Capsicum Culinary Studio. Camelle had to cook a meal with red pepper in it, representing their logo, and post the meal on Instagram and tag Capsicum Culinary Studio. Capsicum then selected 10 meals from each region and on the 3rd of August Camelle had to prepare the meal in front of the judges.

A winner was then selected from each region and Camelle was the winner for KZN and won a R90 000 bursary. This is only the beginning of the competition and next month the 6 regional winners will cook at either Johannesburg or Cape Town branch. The ultimate winner there will be a R200 000 bursary!

Camelle is extremely excited for the next phase of this competition and dreams of becoming a famous chef one day. Camelle's teacher Mrs Deborah Van Jaarsveldt is extremely proud of Camelle and says she is definitely one to watch.
