As we approach the end of the year, I thought it would be a good time to look back on the year of Missing Maps Cambridge and the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team and to look into our plans for 2018.

This year has been great success for the Cambridge branch of the Missing Maps project. Since our first event back in April 2016 we have now established a strong community with over 300 people signing up to the mapathons over the past year. Our monthly events see people from all over Cambridge attending for an evening of pizza and mapping, with every contribution the volunteers make helping to put the 'World's Vulnerable People on the Map'. Beyond Cambridge, the year has seen the Missing Maps Project go from strength to strength with now over 15 million additions to the map since the project's inception in 2014.
