July 3 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened higher on Wednesday as U.S. jobs data pointed to an easing labor market, while investors awaited services activity data and minutes from the U.S. Federal Reserve's last policy meeting to infer monetary policy outlook.

At 09:30 a.m. ET, the Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index was up 49.85 points, or 0.23 percent, to 22,003.65 at open. (Reporting by Nikhil Sharma in Bengaluru; Editing by Vijay Kishore)
