Inqo Investments Ltd - South Africa-focused social impact investment firm - As part of conservation and rural enterprise project in Uganda invests in Flybox Budongo Ltd. Flybox parent company Mana Biosystems Ltd has developed a modular containerised system to produce Black Soldier Fly eggs and 5-day old larvae which provide sustainable upcyling of organic waste into high protein animal feed. After Mana Biosystem's builds and installs the containers, Fylbox's production of flies and larvae is expected to begin in the fourth quarter.

Inqo director David Louw said: "We are delighted with this new investment in Flybox Budongo. Their technology is ideally suited to our rural setting and aside from the impact on waste processing, the company will create a number of technical jobs in the community. A key part of the CARE project will be assessing the environmental and social impacts that Flybox Budongo, as well as our other investments in the area, have for local communities and the forest."
